About the event
Discover this ancient yoga practice led by certified practitioner Joy Hoffman. Yoga Nidra is a yoga practice of guided meditation which lulls you into a state of near sleep where you can achieve deep relaxation while maintaining awareness. It's an amazing way to destress and allow your body to rejuvenate and heal deeply.
Joy Hoffman is a creative artist with a MFA in medical illustrating, graphic design, and business and comes from a fashion, advertising and television background. One of her many passions is to introduce people to Yoga Nidra. The Joy of Yoga Nidra invites the community to experience the ancient Indian practice that will restore the body, clear the mind, and shift the habitual patterns that keep you from being calm, clear, and balanced. This method is taught through visual and guided imagery.
Bring water, your yoga mat and whatever you may need to enjoy this practice in comfort. This yoga is practiced laying down in a resting postition.
