Newtown's Best Kept Secret

Before you arrive please download our trail map to help us save a few trees. All are welcome to enjoy exploring our 60-acres. During the hot summer days bring your bathing suit and swim in our cold spring fed summit pond. We are open from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year. Enjoy discovering secret paths followed only by fairies and fauna.  Dogs are welcome but must stay on their leashes. We have resident animals (two cats) so please be respectful of their home. Please refrain from entering our cabins as they are reserved for private rentals. We are sometimes closed for private events, in this event there will be a sign on the road stating so.

Glamping - noun [U] /ˈɡlæmp.ɪŋ/

A form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping

We keep all the allure of camping without any of the hassle! The amenities are simple but high quality; come and experience why “less is really more”. Week or month long rentals are also available. We're just over one hour from NYC but local folks love us too. Come stay in a beautiful screened in cabin and wake up to a view!  CLICK HERE  for more information about our Cabins, Policies and staying at Sticks and Stones.

We often host photographers and small scale film crews that are looking for that perfect woodland shot. Pricing depends entirely on the size of crew, the length of time needed and additional services required. For shoots that require more than one day we have cabins to rent so that your whole crew can stay together in your element.

Sticks and Stones Farm is available for your next private event! We can host an array of events from children's birthday parties to employee development days. We can accommodate different styles and needs but do have a cap of 50 people. We do not allow events with alcohol.

Please visit our Facility Rental page for more info.

All groups using our facility for either commercial or private use are required to have proof of insurance.

We love to host workshops covering topics from wilderness education to meditation and everywhere in between. We have an array of spaces that can fit the needs of every different kind of event. From quiet cabins in the woods to an easily accessible 2,000 sq. foot stone barn complete with electricity and a large kitchen. If you are a local teacher looking for a unique space to host your next workshop then look no further.

All teachers are required to have proof of insurance.

"Wonderful! From beginning to end we loved our stay. The riverboat was clean and comfortable and our hosts were very welcoming. Pictures don't do the place justice. We can't wait to visit again!"

"This place was great! Everyone was lovely, welcoming and really made us feel like comfortable for our stay. We stayed in the house boat, which perfectly matched the description. It was clean and comfortable."

"Truly a magical experience. My husband and I rented the House Boat for one night and we both can honestly say it might be our favorite place. We instantly felt right at home. The trails are gorgeous, this is a very special place in nature. We cannot wait to come back!"
