The Throat Chakra — A Deep Dive into Your Personal Vibration

Take a very deep dive into your throat chakra. Your voice is the primary interactive vehicle and personal vibration that you take into the world. It helps you to create your identity and forms your personal energy. An open throat literally opens up the soul of every person. 

This Throat Chakra Workshop is designed to explore the speaking voice, the simple mechanics of how the voice works, how to awaken the expressive voice, the capacity to truly listen, the breath and how your body supports and connects these. Learning how to open up the voice is a life-changing and liberating experience. The process presented in this workshop enables us to open up our sound and listen deeply to others as we release throat constriction created in the past and let our energy flow.

This workshop will include a short relaxation meditation with chakra seed sounds, an explanation of how the healthy voice functions, breath work, toning, a “listening lab”, varied vocal exercises, movement, exploratory sound making, chanting and open discussion. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to move and use their voice. No singing experience is necessary.

About Ronnie

Ronni Sarrett Lederman is a classically trained soprano and performer with 22 years of experience teaching singing and speaking voice improvement to students of all levels, styles and ages. Her students have been featured in film, theater and television, including appearances in American Idol, Nickelodeon, television commercials, as sports announcers, in voice overs, in documentaries and as nightly news anchors. She also teaches the beginner, people with disabilities, and the !tone-challenged”.

In addition to her teaching, Ronni has performed 17 operatic roles in the NYC area. She has also performed as a jazz, pop and folk singer in the metropolitan New York area, as well as in the Caribbean. She is the founder and producer of the Palisades Opera which showcases local talent in NJ, NY and CT.

A former member of the New York Singing Teachers Association, currently a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and the Voice Foundation, Ronni has studied vocal anatomy & physiology, voice and articulation, acoustics, vocal health, resonant speech, Estill voice and more in the voice field. 

Ronni gives several voice workshops and has presented her interactive lectures and workshops on voice for speakers (or singers) in Pleasantville NY, Scarsdale NY Public Library, Tarrytown NY Public Library, the Ixchel Center in Hartsdale, NY, The Angel Wing in Ridgefield, CT, and Avant Garde Holistic Center in Branford, CT. In addition, Ronni is an Occupational Therapist, with a master"s degree from Columbia University, a Reiki Master, tarot reader, astrologer, and a life long student and study group facilitator of A Course in Miracles, Joe Dispenza, Matrix Energetics and The Law of Attraction. She is embarking presently on a Meditation Teacher Training course at Jiiva Wholistic Wellness and Meditation Center in Stratford, CT.
