About the event
Forest Bathing. It’s moving slowly, but it’s even more than that. Let’s come together to bask in the peak of Fall’s glory. We’ll take time to walk with awareness and enjoy meditation in nature. It’s about taking the time to truly slow down and disconnect from the world wide web and connect with the web of natural wonders that are all around us. Within our modern minds exists the ancient desire to spend time outside and experience all of the elements: air, water, fire, space, and earth.
You will be led by Mindful Outdoor Guide Tertius Bune on a mindful outdoor walk & meditation on the beautiful grounds of Sticks and Stones Farm. We’ll then gather around the fire to share apple cider and our reflections on what this time has revealed for all of us. No background or experience in meditation, the outdoors, or otherwise is needed. This is not hiking! All fitness levels are welcome. Bring and wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing (comfortable shoes, jacket, gloves, hats). We will be sauntering through nature and be sitting outside. You should bring a small blanket or a pad for the meditation. Something sturdy to sit on potentially wet ground with, for example, a crazy creek chair but a small wool blanket is great too. We encourage you to bring water, a few snacks and a small backpack to carry your belongings in. And of course, please bring an open heart and mind. Walking mindfully is a slow, adult activity, so no people under 14 years old or pets for this event. Watch for future mindful outdoor activities for all members of the family!
Suggested donation of $20.00 per person.
