About the event
Ecstatic Dance Fairfield County is a free form, barefoot, sober event in a gorgeous yoga studio with views of nature all around. We will open with a guided warm-up to help you loosen up your body and mind, connect with new people and set your movement free. Then we will surrender to the music, letting it guide us as we tap into our body’s natural rhythms and shapes. No prior dance experience is necessary; Come as you are.
Amy Dubenestky and I are collaborating a celebratory playlist. We are so lucky to have Andrew Prue sharing his drumming talent and bringing extra instruments so we can jam along with the music! He’ll also offer a beautiful sound meditation at the end.
I will have art supplies set up for people who need a dance break and want to express in alternative ways. There will be some snacks and hangout time afterwards. I invite you to bring a snack to share :).
Suggested Sliding Scale: $15-20 for adults. $5-10 for kids. Cash / Venmo @visionfaerie / PayPal visionfaerie@gmail.com Thank you!
Address: Sticks and Stones Farm 197 Huntingtown Rd, Newtown, CT 06470
This event takes place in the Stone Barn. When you enter the driveway, park in the lot to the right. After you walk into the barn, please proceed towards the back through the double doors, and go up the stairs to the yoga studio. There will be signs! Unfortunately, this is not currently a wheelchair accessible space. Please forward this invitation to people you know who would also benefit from being here.
So excited to dance with you! Jackie Ryan
