About the event
We are pleased to welcome The Mindful Herbalist to the barn next month! Community Herbalist & Energy Worker Kelly Pietro will be offering an herbal remedy making series called "Building Your Home Apothecary". This is a hands-on experience of turning plants into helpful at-home remedies. This series is designed to connect people to plants with two key goals in mind:
-Remedy making skills: Learn various ways to turn plants into useful home remedies. Each class students will receive in-depth instruction and have the opportunity to make their own herbal remedies, thus building their own home apothecary over the series duration.
-Building your materia medica: In each class we will cover three medicinal herbs in depth including traditional uses, actions, energetics and affinities within the human body, and methods of administration. By the end of the series you will have a deep understanding of 18 plant allies to begin working with. Students will receive a write-up on each plant that they can add to their home library of herbal monographs.
This series is great for anyone new to herbalism, anyone who has dabbled in self-study, and anyone looking to learn how to prepare herbal remedies at home. There's nothing more empowering than supporting your health and wellness with what Mother Nature has provided! Choose a few dates or attend them all.
Class time will vary from 1 ½-2 hours depending on the topic, attendee engagement and overall attendance numbers. Advanced registration is required by indicated registration deadline. Sorry, no walk-ins.
