About the event
At the request of members of our community, for her talk on Monday, May 15th, at 7 pm, Grandmother Nancy is explaining the significance of the Anishinaabe’s Seventh Fire Prophecy as taught to her by her teacher, Grandfather William Commanda.
Greatly respected by leaders of many political and spiritual groups, Grandfather William dedicated his life to peace, environmental activism and building bridges between cultures around the world. His annual gatherings at Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg Reservation in Canada, which Grandmother Nancy attended, drew thousands of people from many different walks of life.
At this time of enormous division and climate disruption, the Seventh Fire Prophecy is frequently mentioned and an understanding of its significance is increasingly relevant to how we all make choices moving forward into our future.
Grandmother Nancy looks forward to sharing this teaching with you.
