About the event
A Temazcal ceremony is an ancient practice dating back to the Aztec and Mayan period and is still practiced today in Mexico, Central and South America. It is generally used for purification and healing. This cermony will be led by Taita Tuamari, a government recognized Ecuadorian shaman.
The lodge gets very hot and is not recommended for anyone with medical issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, epilepsy, or women who are pregnant.
This ceremony is limited to 15 participants due to the small size of the lodge.
A potluck meal in the stone barn will follow. Please bring a dish to share - refridgeration and heating are available if needed.
