About The Event
Tai Chi is a series of movements, based on the ancient martial art of Tai Chi Chuan. Today it is mostly studied for health.
Tai Chi has been the subject of a great deal of research and has been found to improve sleep quality, reduce depression, relieve fatigue and increase quality of life. Tai chi can improve both lower-body strength and upper-body strength. When practiced regularly, tai chi can be comparable to resistance training and brisk walking. Tai Chi is an exercise that can be practiced well into one’s eighties, nineties and beyond.
Teacher Michael Wallace's Tai Chi study began 35 years ago and continues today. He has studied with several maters from China and Taiwan as well as the U.S.. He is a member of the Yang Family Tai Chi Association.
