About the event

On Tuesday, July 21, amid a major thunderstorm, the Guskie Pond dam located just upstream from us gave way for the second time in two years. A torrent of rushing water surged through the woods, flowing directly into the Sticks and Stones property. Fortunately, no buildings were harmed, but it left quite a mess in its wake!



We need assistance to rebuild the lawns and trails so they remain enjoyable for the many visitors to the property. Please consider dedicating an hour or whatever time you can to help ease the burden of this significant task.


Flood insurance is not available, so any costs incurred are out-of-pocket. If you can't provide physical assistance, please consider donating to Love Has a Home, the non-profit based on the property, which aims to foster community and connection through events and land stewardship.
